Biography
I was born on a ship out in the mid-Atlantic in a force 10. The boat was going down and my mother was being lifted onto a life raft when I finally came out. The sea has always played a huge part in my life and music ever since.
Growing up in a tree house in the Norfolk Broads there was no access to television so I made my own entertainment writing music. Since I was knee high to a cormorant I’ve sung and played my own compositions as a way of relaxing and escaping from the cold on those wintry nights by the water.
At 12 I was sent on a cargo ship to live with my spinster aunts in Shetland. There I learnt to knit hefty woollens and continued my music.
On a more serious note, today I am touring and sharing my music with as many people as possible. All my songs are written from the heart and kept as real, honest and simple as possible. Whoever you are, I hope you find at least one song of mine that hits the spot, describing something you’ve been through or felt yourself. I just sing it as it is.
